Q.  What specific behaviours can you change?

A.  DogTalk addresses simple training to serious behaviour modification issues including:

  • Leash reactivity, leash aggression and pulling on leash
  • Excessive barking or chewing
  • Growling and snapping
  • Food or toy obsessiveness
  • Jumping on people
  • Inappropriate mounting of dogs, people or furniture

Q.  My dog has some unique issues. Are all dogs trained the same way?

A. No…Just as no two people are alike, neither are two dogs.

Each program is specifically adapted to your dog.

Your dog’s training takes into account:

  • Age
  • Breed and size
  • Temperament and skill level
  • Emotional issues
  • Environment
  • Health
  • Exisiting relationships

Glenn assesses what techniques are most effective for each dog. His techniques of Human Dog Leadership combined with 20 years of experience, patience, and commitment ensures your dog learns new skills that can be accessed in different environments so you can rely on your dog’s behaviour anywhere.

Q. Do you use treats?

A. No.

DogTalk teaches dogs to listen out of respect and trust, not from treats. Relationships and good behaviour are rewarded with privileges and good feelings only. Treats can be a useful tool but do not contribute to the overall effectiveness of the program.

Q. What is the transportation facility like?

A.   The van is climate controlled and equipped with a continuous potable water supply.

It is BCSPCA approved for the safety of up to 10 dogs. It is an ideal environment for dogs to bond and socialize.
